Clarity Clinic

This is my first time going to see a psychiatrist to help with some personal issues I have been dealing with. I made my appointment with Emily Filip and she was professional, warm, kind, listened to what I had to say. She asked me questions pertaining to my life and the current issues I've been dealing with. She was insightful in her responses and I appreciate that she feels medication isn't the first response to my case. Instead, she suggested that I see a therapist because she believes the even though I have some issues handling anxiety, irritability; it doesn't need medication but rather seeking someone to speak to and learn coping skills. If medication is needed down the line, she left it open for me to reach out to her in a few months to see how I am doing and we can decide the next course of treatment. She focused on the person that I am and acknowledge that I need more help to learn new techniques that can assist what I have been doing already. She urged me to continue to journal my thoughts and emotions as I wait to speak to a therapist.

I highly recommend Clarity Clinic. My team is excellent Dr. Sitorus & Megan Becker. The team approach makes a difference I believe. We are all working very well together. I have a clearer diagnosis and working on it has made a whole lot of diference. One area specifically, finding 'hope'. I used to dread the next day. Now most days I am able to look forward to the next day. Big difference. I have a variety of diagnosis which we are tackling as well. I'll never be fixed however I am learning and understanding how to get through those tough times by learning new skills. Thanks to all of us working together my life has improved. And I think here I'll stay awhile one day at a time. Thanks team!
